Cycling at Angkor

Day 1: Arrive Siem Reap
Arrive Siem Reap. Transfer to hotel. In the afternoon, cycle 15km from hotel to Bakong temple. Arrive at Bakong and visit the local villages around the temple before checking out the temple. Enjoy the sunset at Bakong temple. Cycle back to the hotel. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 2: Cycle Angkor
Pick up from hotel and then transfer by car to Angkor Thom. Cycle from the South Gate of Angkor Thom to Bayon temple (3km). From Bayon, cycle on to Ta Prohm (7km). From Ta Prohm, transfer back to town by car. In the afternoon visit Angkor Wat (no cycling this afternoon), then end the day with a climb to the summit of Bakheng Hill to view a spectacular sunset. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 3: Cycling into local villages
Pick up from hotel and then transfer to Prasat Kravan temple. Bikes and support vehicles will be ready at Kravan temple. Bike into Kravan Village, crossing the village (15km), meet with farmers and children, and cycle through the rice fields. Climb Pre Rup temple for a view of the surrounding areas of Angkor. Leave Preah Rup temple in support truck and a bus will meet you and transfer you back to town. In the afternoon, transfer by car from the hotel to Banteay Srei temple. Visit Banteay Srei. From Banteay Srei cycle back to the hotel (35km). Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 4: Depart Siem Reap
Free day until transfer to airport for departure flight.

 

Cycling at Angkor

Day 1: Arrive Phnom Penh
Arrive in Phnom Penh, transfer to hotel. Cycle from hotel to the Royal Palace, then on to the National Museum and Wat Phnom. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 2: The Killing Fields
In the moring, get picked up from the hotel and transferred by car to Tuol Sleng Museum. Then transfer to Sambor Meas pagoda where bikes and support vehicles will be waiting. Cycle from Sambor Meas pagoda to the Killing Fields (10km). From the Killing Fields, transfer back to town by car. In the afternoon, visit local markets.

Day 3: Koh Dach Island
Koh Dach is one of the islands of the Mekong River. In the morning, get picked up from hotel and transfered to the pier. Ferried to Koh Dach. From the pier of Koh Dach, cycle into the craft village where villagers weave silk and baskets, and produce silver for a living. In the afternoon, enjoy a picnic lunch on the island. Take a swim. In the late afternoon, transfer back to town. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 4: Depart Phnom Penh
Free day until transfer to airport for departure flight.

Cycling in Phnom Penh and around Angkor

Day 1: Arrive at Phnom Penh
Arrive in Phnom Penh, transfer to hotel. Cycle from hotel to the Royal Palace, then on to the Natinal Museum and Wat Phnom. Overnight in Phnom Penh

Day 2: The Killing Fields
In the morning, get picked up from the hotel and transferred by car to Tuol Sleng Museum. Then transfer to Sambor Meas pagoda where bikes and support vehicles will be waiting. Cycle from Sambor Meas pagoda to the Killing Fields (10km). From the Killing Fields, transfer back to town by car. In the afternoon, visit local markets.

Day 3: Koh Dach Island
Koh Dach is one of the islands of the Mekong River. In the morning, get picked up from hotel and transfered to the pier. Ferried to Koh Dach. From the pier of Koh Dach, cycle into the craft village where villages weave silk and baskets, and produce silver for a living. In the afternoon, enjoy a picnic lunch on the island. Take a swim. In the late afternoon, transfer back to town. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 4: Phnom Penh - Siem Reap
In the morning, transfer from hotel to airport for flight to Siem Reap. Arrive in Siem Reap, transfer to hotel. Morning free. In the afternoon, cycle 15km from the hotel to Bakong temple. At Bakong, visit villages around the temple before going inside the temple. Enjoy the breathtaking sunset at Bakong temple. Bike back to the hotel. Overnight in Siem Reap.

 

Day 5: Cycling Angkor
Pick up from hotel and transfer to Angkor Thom. Cycle from the South Gate of Angkor Thom to Bayon temple (3km) and then on to Ta Prohm (7km). From Ta Prohm, transfer back to town by car.
